Honky Tonkin' in Nashville

Arrived in Nashville on Tues (6/6/11) and saw some outstanding talent at The Legends.  Performing for four hours was Matt Mason.  Matt is up for Newcomer of the Year in Country Music.  The winner will be announced Friday.  He was truly fantastic.  For those who haven't been to Nashville, lower Broadway is lined with Honky Tonk bars.  Performers showcase their talents for a little bit of nothing (tips) hoping to catch that big break.  For the patrons, it's very inexperience entertainment.  I've found the talent is usually very good and in the case of Matt, truly outstanding.  Tootsie's is the Honky Tonk that get all the publicity but our favorite is The Legends.  Watch for Matt.
