Today was our drive into Jackson Hole. Another day of beautiful scenery with surprises around every bend!
We saw lots and lots of antelope and deer which made me think of our Kansas State song - Home on the Range......where the deer and the antelope play. Never saw antelope the whole time I lived in Kansas - they must have all migrated to Wyoming??? We also saw a herd of llama. So it was a fun day of watching for animals.
Got to Jackson Hole and checked into our hotel. Got settled and walked a little over a mile into town. What a great little town. Much bigger than we expected with lots of cute shops and lots of restaurants. We just checked everything out and walked back to our hotel and found a great restaurant just a short walk from the hotel. We like sitting in the bar area because we can chat with the people around us. So this nice young man (same age as you, Beth) sat down next to me. I asked him if he lived here and he said, "No, I'm from NC". Is it a small world or what!!! He is from Chapel Hill and we then sat and talked with him for 2 hours. What a nice young man - Jeff Tilman.
Did I mention in the Taos blog that we met the nicest couple at the B & B there and they were from Chapel Hill. How amazing is that!!! We are LOVING these people from Chapel Hill. :-)
Tomorrow we're off the Grand Teton National Park. So, you know you'll be hearing more soon! Wish we could send some of this wonderful weather your way!
