Attended the Grand Ole Opry last night and what a great lineup! Everybody is in Nashville for the CMA awards tonight so there was some real star power. Headlined by Carrie Underwood, the lineup consisted of Martina McBride, Darius Rucker, Jerrod Nyeman, Lady Antebellum, The Oak Ridge Boys and Little Jimmy Dickens (90 yrs old and an original with the Grand Ole Opry). It was a 2 hr show with each performer singing 3 numbers.
One thing I wasn't aware of is that the Grand Ole Opry is a live radio broadcast so you see (hear) the commercial breaks. It's been running for 85 years and is obviously the oldest live radio broadcast going.
While there we also toured the Grand Ole Opry Hotel & Resort. Unbelievable! Hard to believe that 18 months ago it had 10-15 of flood water throughout the facility.
