Played golf today at The Mountain Course at Wasatch Mountain State Park. I'm telling you.... God created an unbelievable world when you experience the gorgeous beauty of our land.
Anyway, today I was paired with a couple from Phoenix, AZ but originally from Wisconsin. I love playing golf as a single because you get to meet so many really wonderful strangers. Today was no exception... Denny and Esther were just a delight to play with. In fact, we hit it off so well, we're getting together for dinner on Thursday with them and some of their friends.
One of my regrets was when we played with Jaime & Lisa Kalua back in Coeur d'Alane, we didn't get together afterward for an adult beverage because we were concerned we would be taking away their time from their short weekend. But you know what... I would really have liked to have gotten to know them better after the round. Such an interesting couple.... Lisa & Jaime, if you're reading this, we still talk about how much we enjoyed the day with you!
Weather today was fabulous as it has been every day.... low 80's, no humidity, absolutely clear Carolina blue sky. Had a good day on the course with a score of 84... good for a guy with a handicap of 14. I still can't get over how good the course conditions are for $37, including the golf cart.
