Picture perfect day!

Yesterday we left the Oregon coast.....Yea!!!  Sorry, but it is just toooo chilly on the Oregon coast.  Those people who live there aver a VERY hardy bunch!

It was foggy when we left and it was so cool to drive out of the mountains, into the sunlight and look back and see the fog sitting on the top of the mountaintops.  Amazing sight!

It was a beautiful drive to Roseburg and then on to see our friends, Sheryl and Bob Bartlett.  We hadn't seen them in 45 years.  What a wonderful treat it was for us to be able to reconnect after all these years.  We visited their piece of paradise on the Umpqua River.  What an absolutely beautiful place!  They have this wonderful cabin right on the river.  I will have Gerry add some pictures.  Three of their five grandchildren were there visiting, along with their daughter.  We all commented on how much fun it would have been to have a place like that to spend our summers when we were growing up.

Bob is one of those handy guys that can do anything and has built a huge sandbox, big swing set, big tree house, etc., etc.    I would have loved to sit in the tree house with a nice glass of wine and just listen to the river running by....aaaaahhh!!!  Thanks, Sheryl and Bob for a relaxing, enjoyable time with you and your beautiful family!  We will be enjoying your gift this weekend in Bend.  :-)
