Celebrating our 47th Anniversary!

We just find it so hard to believe that it's actually been 47 years since our wedding day!  Wow, where have the years gone.  We sure don't FEEL old enough to be married that long!  That's a very good thing.  :-)  So it was a wonderful day to sit and reflect on our 47 years together and all of the blessings that have come from those years together.  Namely our children and grandchildren and all of the friends we have met over all of those years.  Thank you, God!!!

It was a very relaxing day and we just wandered around town.  I don't think I would ever tire of just walking around here.  That night we were treated to a fabulous dinner at a restaurant called Ember.  It was YUMMMY!!!   We highly recommend it!

I think we have celebrated our last 5 or 6 anniversaries somewhere in the mountains.  Last year we were in Whistler, BC and the 3 or 4 before that we were in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  We DO love the mountains!

We actually spent our honeymoon in the mountains around Colorado Springs, CO.  We had $100 to spend on our honeymoon.  That had to include our lodging, food and gas money.  How amazing is that!  Thankfully Gerry didn't take me back to the place we stayed in Colorado Springs!  We drove by there a few years ago and what a dump!  :-)  The Flamingo Motel....I'm sure it must have been just lovely when we stayed there 47 years ago!  :-)

Now I'm just sitting here wondering where we'll be celebrating our 48th anniversary???
